My stubborn but smart QH mare and I had some issues to work through, and I knew I couldn't do it alone. I wanted an equine partner but lacked the confidence to trust this particular horse. I enlisted Sheri to help assess the mare's potential and condition her so that both of us were better equipped as horse and rider.
Some of the primary goals we discussed included transitioning the mare from direct reining to neck reining, assessing the mare's try and getting her and exposing her to a ranch environment and introduce her to new obstacles.
Sheri put 30 days on the horse, working with me along the way as needed. In the end, the mare not only successfully neck reins, but Sheri taught me the skills to get the mare's attention and the confidence to ride and handle her. So it was a win-win for me and the mare. I'd enlist her help again if I needed it.

Katy Tx We have an eleven year old mare named Dove. She would not pay attention to what we asked of her when riding her. She basically did what she wanted to do. So we either had to get her some help or sell her. So we talked with Sheri at "S Bar Equine Training" and they took Dove for 30 days. Sheri called us when the 30 days of training was done and told us Dove was ready to go home. I could not believe what Sheri had done for Dove. She is a different horse now. We enjoy being around her, riding & working her. She sidepasses, gives her head, neck reins, and does a great rollback. Sheri spent the time with us and showed us Dove's cue's and explained each one. The S Bar Equine Training did a very nice job on our Mare.
I take my hat off to Sheri for a job well done and for all she know's about horses. I will be sending two more of our horses to her from Rocking _A_Ranch. I know she will do a great job with them also.

Rosanky Tx Sheri - Thank you so much for all your hard work training Guffey. Larry and I were both off the last week and spent a lot of time riding Guffey. The change in him is incredible. He is so responsive to the rider now - I am really impressed with the way he understands and responds to leg queue commands and he no longer throws his head around as he did before. Most all of the anxiety issues we had with him are gone, he saddles, stands and rides with other horses with no hesitation or nervousness which was the most important thing I wanted accomplished with him - you did it. The confidence you were able to give him on the trail is amazing. I know he will continue to learn from each ride we have him on - thank you so much for the great start that we can build on. We look forward to riding with you soon. Take care -
